NICE TO MEET YOU

I’m Zoë Bow, a freelance graphic and production designer from Denver, Colorado. I am 27 years old, and I love learning and making things. My favorite things to do are read, run, and yap (heavy on the yap).

Since I was a young girl, I have found myself thinking,

“How could this look better?”,

“What did they make this out of?”

“Wow, I would have never thought of that!”

in every room, city, and country I landed in. I don’t just like design; I see the world through a lens of authenticity and functional beauty.

I firmly believe that design is not just making something look pretty. Design is function. Design is communication. Design is comfort. My favorite part of the process is taking a raw concept and translating it into something the rest of the world can experience.

When I’m not designing, running, or reading, I am spending time with my most excellent husband and our two lovely Siamese cats.

 

I take many long walks and daydream about moving to different states and countries.

This project felt special. The couple wanted something that felt polished and classic, but, a little more alternative than the classic wedding invite. The linen texture and cream added that classic feel, the irregular slightly emo font font and upside down flower on the front changed the energy. 

I went really simple with the colors for print ease, and chose black and white photos for contrast.

A personal favorite of mine because it was for one my favorites people's sons birthday. Digital invite and facebook cover for 2 year old birthday party. He loves cars, he loves fun, he loves being two!

This invite went racing chaos. In the middle of the chaos, the information needed to be clear. With the little guy staring straight up at you, how could you not attend?

Direct mailing postcard for a Christian non-profit organization. This was the first public contact for this new event by this company, so it really needed to launch the brand is a strong way. 

It needed to feel people focused, impactful, and cool. The new event logo featured prominently in high contrast was a must for me. The native photos from the company bring a really fun, authentic element to the peice.
